Love Personality Type #4: The Cynic [EXCLUSIVE SNEAK PEEK]

Love Personality Type #4 is The Cynic.

I hardly have to explain this one to you as we’ve all been there one time or another. Love, our narrator in The Romantics, is a pro at convincing Cynics that real love does exist. P.S. I, myself, am a cynic. Or at least I was before I met my husband!

One who refuses to buy a single thing that the movies, their friends, or even their lovey-dovey grandparents have told them about romance. Believes that most relationships are doomed to fail and thus tries to protect themselves when they find themselves in one. May result in holding back from expressing true feelings, expecting things to go wrong, and waiting for the other shoe to drop. May also lead to amazing loyalty once they do let someone in because they do it so infrequently.

Cynics in The Romantics:

Cynics in Pop Culture:

Elaine (Seinfeld)

Elizabeth (from Pride and Prejudice)

Do you know any characters who are Cynics? Are you one? Let me know in the comments!

P.S. Stay tuned for tomorrow’s Love Personality Type: The Loyalist

The Romantics comes out November 1!
